"If I stay" book review 。◕‿◕。

First:

How I got into books

I was never a reader when i grew up. I read slowly and it took me longer than other kids to leard to read fast. Growing up I never though book were fun (exept when my mom read to me) which i think is understandable having books and texts shoved at you all the time at school.

It started just 2 years ago. I got a book called "Ruby Red" from my sweet friend and I got hooked. After finishing the books I immediately started looking for similar books, but since I wasn't familiar with books other than my books from school it was hard. I tried getting some books from the library and reading but, I had trouble finding books that interested me. I had almost given up until last year (i think it was September/October) that i did something i NEVER do.

I was at Outland buying manga with my friend who was looking for superhero comics. I had already found my manga and bough it, but my friend had troubled deciding, so i was just wandering and looking at the shelf behind her. There where lots of books. And on the end of the shelf, a little alone on the side, this book with it's cover faced out and the text "Angel" just stood there almost calling me. So I picked it up, read the back side, which didn't really tell much, and just bought it like that. I would never had done that before. It was just strange of me to do.. But I got back to the house and started reading and in no time I was out looking for the next book. (I bought it, but didn't find out before I was done that it was the first book in a triology) And now im anxiously waiting for the last book to arrive at my store so i can read what happens next

"If I stay" - by Gayle Forman

I found it at a bookstore near my granny and decided to buy it.

This book was wonderful. It's not the type of fantasy excitement book i usually read. <( ̄︶ ̄)>

The book is seen from our main protagonist Mia. Mia is a healty girl with cool parents, a cute little brother, a handsome and loyal boyfriend, an awsome best friend and a talent for cello. Mia unsure of what she's gonna do if she gets in to Juilliard. She's confused and has some decisions to make, but within the first 20 pages they're all blown away when her family get's into a really bad accident. ((((;゜Д゜))) Telling to much more would spoil it, but the rest of the books follows Mia as she has to make the one and only decision left: to stay and live on or for give up and die.

The story is really well written with a lot of flashbacks and memories of things that has happened, which has helped make Mia into the girl she is. Other books tends to tell this in a way that makes it seem like it's only purpouse is to drag on the story, but Forman really manages to give these memories reason. This book brought me to tears so i had to pause to actually be able to read the words. 。:゚(。ノω\。)゚・。♥

The book is fantastic. I love the build, the characters, the mood and the way they sorta give you hope while still keeping you wondering what Mia will do. The only thing I would have wanted was that the ending was a liiiiiiittle bit longer. Read it and you'll understand what I mean regardless of wether you agree with me or not.

I highly recommend this book!! ♥(ˆ⌣ˆԅ)
